Car Rental in Orient Bay, St Martin

Staying on the bay, or planning to spend your days there? We handle car rental in Orient Bay and can hand the vehicle over on site. As a local company based in St Martin, we give you the means to reach the beaches, the islets and the rest of the island whenever you decide.

Saint-Martin beach

The best-known beach on the French side

Orient Bay stretches along the east coast of St Martin, facing the Atlantic. It is the busiest beach on the French side, valued for its length, its turquoise water and the breeze that blows almost year round — welcome in the heat of the day.

It is also a starting point: the bay faces several islets, and the northern end of the coast opens onto quieter coves. People come for the day, rarely for an hour.

Rental car delivery and return in Saint-Martin

We hand the vehicle over on the bay

There is no need to collect your car at the other end of the island. Our handover points include the Esmeralda Resort and the Orient Beach Hotel, both on the bay. Delivery and return use the same addresses: you can collect on site and drop the car at the airport on your departure day, or the other way round.

If you would rather have the car the moment you land, it is all explained on our SXM Juliana airport and Grand-Case airport pages.

Getting to the bay and parking

The bay is reached by the road along the east coast, from Grand-Case in the north or from inland. Several access roads lead down to the seafront, and parking is what needs planning: the spaces closest to the beach fill up by mid-morning, in season and at weekends.

The habit that works: arrive early, or park a little further back and walk the last stretch. A compact car makes life noticeably easier here.

What is nearby

  • The islets off the bay — reached by boat from the coast, for a day away from the crowds.
  • The northern end of the east coast — quieter coves than the main bay.
  • Inland — viewpoints and cross-island roads, a few minutes' drive away.

Heading north, Grand-Case and its restaurant street make the classic evening stop after a day on the beach. And you can cross freely to the Dutch side for a change of scene: there is no border post.

Which vehicle for beach days
